KOMBI, Fragments of a tropical imaginary, is an Approach Program between professionals in the living arts, national and international, which aims to create new spaces for communication, connection and circulation.
In the first edition of PAPOS de KOMBI, at FarOFFa on the sofa, we had this meeting, and we had a guiding question every day. Different professionals were invited to answer the following questions:
1 - Is it feasible to think of a new ethics of doing together?
2 - Do we need a new common?
3 - Care, is it a path to possible futures?
For the second edition, at the invitation of JUNTA - Teresina International Dance Festival, the PAPOS de KOMBI come back with new questions, and we invite Ibero-American artists, who are part of a recently launched research of cultural mapping, inspiring practices ( de) (das) (las) artes alive (en) (na) iberoamérica , coordinated by Ricardo Klein, financed by GREC 2020 (Barcelona International Theater Festival) to answer them. We start from the cut of residences, which is a work dynamics very well known and explored by all countries in this context, except Brazil. Bringing this provocation, we seek collectives, groups and artists who focus on this way of doing and creating to answer these questions:

2 - Why are the distances between Latin America greater? Is it possible to think of a Latin American cultural policy?

Welcome to the Kombi!
Between 11th and 13th of August, FarOFFa organizes KOMBI - Fragments of a tropical imaginary, a program to bring together performing arts professionals with the aim of promoting the meeting and opening doors to new partnerships, collaborations and ways of working.
Those interested in participating should register until August 13th - 10 AM (BRT).
The Kombi Program consists of 2 actions:
1 - KOMBI TALKS
Through 3 meetings, we invited performing arts professionals from Brazil and several other countries to discuss and present points of view about their performance in pandemic times and their perspectives in the field of cultural action, alongside with the audience.

2 - SHOWCASE OF SPECTACLES
40 shows, of different languages, that present a large sample of Brazilian artistic production and will offer the public a possibility of watching shows in repertoire, as well as historical productions.
