The Urgia platform was born in Rio de Janeiro in 2023, emerging from the solitude of authors seeking spaces for debate on dramaturgy in progress. In 2024, Urgia arrives in São Paulo, and since September of last year, we have been partnering with Corpo to hold piquetes—gatherings where someone brings a dramaturgy in progress. The text is read aloud, projected onto a screen, and those reading it have not seen it before. This encounter then becomes a catalyst for discussion about the work being created.
For Urgia at Farofa, we want to propose actions of the word—four performances that engage with the production of thought in dramaturgy, along with three piquetes, continuing the practice we’ve already been developing. One of these piquetes will feature a work in translation, done as part of an ongoing process, while the other two will focus on dramaturgies generated from performances—spoken-word actions created during Farofa do Processo.
We believe that, in this way, we can celebrate the word and dramaturgy in theater.

The Critical Boteco is a critical-performative action aimed at establishing an informal space for dialogue and critical debate with the audience, artists, and other interested individuals about the experience of attending a festival's program. The goal is to connect the works, understand movements, trends, recurrences, and singularities of what is being presented, and discuss theater through the lens of the festival's curatorial choices.
The proposal is based on a common practice among theatergoers: the experience of post-show bar conversations, where communion, beer, and the act of being together foster a certain philosophical attitude toward what was raised in the performance. At the same time, the informality of the bar setting does not demand conclusions or specific propositions—dialogue itself is the centerpiece. It is an exercise in weaving thoughts together, sharing perceptions, and closely observing people as they voice their questions—without this implying a lack of depth or refinement in the conversation.
