Retrospective - ECUM World Meeting of Performing Arts
FarOFFa no Sofa pays homage to Ecum - World Meeting of the Performing Arts, providing recordings of the meetings with Antonio Nóbrega, Eugênio Barba (Italy) and José Celso Martinez Corrêa, in 1998; Yoshito Ohno (Japan) in 2000; Lydia Hortélio and Sue Morrisson (Canada) in 2004; Adama Traoré (Mali) in 2006; Bèatrice Picon-Valin (France) and Viliam Docolomansky (Czech Republic) in 2008.
Created in 1998, in Belo Horizonte, Ecum - World Meeting of the Performing Arts is internationally recognized as one of the most important forums for the exchange of knowledge in the Brazilian theatrical area. In its 8 editions held until 2013, it had as central aim bringing discussions on contemporary themes of scenic making, in addition to emphasizing the affirmation of the plurality of views on the performing arts and the international, transdisciplinary and transcultural dimension of its actions.
