Founded in 2005 by actors Edjalma Freitas and Henrique Ponzi, Cia. do Ator Nu has been developing highly relevant theatrical work in the state of Pernambuco over the years, while also maintaining a presence in São Paulo. Its productions continue to follow its original vision, placing the actor at the core of its artistic practice.

Activities carried out include: I Dramaturgy Cycle – Norberto Cardoso; Cartas para um Mozartiano; Fio Invisível da Minha Cabeça; II Dramaturgy Cycle – Caio F. Poetic Writing; Encruzilhada Hamlet; Além do Ponto (SP); Abrigo (SP); Na Solidão dos Campos de Algodão; Ciclo Formativo da Cena (a series of theater workshops in the countryside of Pernambuco); Projeto Presépio de Fala I, II, and III (lecture-performances with master puppeteers from Pernambuco); and the solo piece O Ideal e a Glória (created for the Apolo-Hermilo Training and Research Center).
