Event Horizon is a party where people never stop dancing. Now, whether they’re dancing because they’re incredibly happy or because they’re too afraid to stop and face the silence — I’ll leave that for you to decide.
Event Horizon is also loosely inspired by Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull. And event horizon is also the treshold to a black hole—everything that stays outside this line remains safe, untouched. But anything that crosses it gets pulled in, consumed by the black hole, and torn apart in an astronomical collapse.
So, Event Horizon is a play, a party, and a comedy that talks about love, theater, and death. But I don’t know—why don’t you tell me? What do you think Event Horizon is about?
Bio:
Founded in 2015, Coletivo Inominável consistently researches the possibilities of blurring the boundaries between stage and audience. Since 2019, it has been researching queer authorship dramaturgy, which resulted in the works Inhai (2019), A Festa de Aniversário Para o Amigo Que Foi Para Dublin (2020), A Um Ano Mais Feliz (2021), as well as Fronteira Impermanente and Horizonte de Eventos, which are in the finalization phase.
