Hey everyone, Porco de Raça – Experiment 1, as the name suggests, will be our first exploration of a new titular work, Porco de Raça, based on the book by the Paraiban writer Bruno Ribeiro.

For now, the piece features only the actor Caio Daguilar. Much of the book takes place in a ring where global outcasts—marginalized bodies from around the world—are forced to fight while the global elites place bets on their blood. With this first experiment, we are proposing a scenographic, sonic, and physical exploration of this ring, built very much in Motosserra’s style.

The performance will center on the actor's physical presence and the live sound of our guitarist, Eddie Boy. From there, we will develop the piece. It will last about an hour, but it has an installation-like character, meaning the audience is free to come and go rather than staying inside the space the entire time.

For us, it's perfect that this is happening at Galeria Flávio de Carvalho, as the venue itself aligns with this approach.

Bio:

A Motosserra Perfumada is a theater group with 10 years of activity in São Paulo. Between 2014 and 2023, it has produced performances, urban interventions, tele-theater, lecture and reading cycles, as well as the plays Aquilo que me arrancaram foi a única coisa que me restou (2015), RES PVBLICA 2023 (2019), and RED LINE (2023). Since its inception, the group has been driven by an investigation into the tensions between Art and the City, exploring a "performative" and underground theater—one that inhabits the inner workings of the city's political and emotional machinery.
