Fat dancer.

Jussara Belchior has been studying and practicing dance since she was 6 years old. She started with classical ballet but found in contemporary dance possibilities to dance from her own body, instead of trying to reach an imposed ideal. She is from São Paulo, but has lived in Florianópolis for 11 years.

She works as a dancer, interlocutor and director, in addition to articulating actions that question the imagery and visibility of the fat body. She is interested in poetics and politics of movement and positioning through dance.
